John P. McDonald
John P. McDonald, one of two partners in the firm, concentrates almost exclusively in State and federal litigation cases. Mr. McDonald defends individuals against both criminal and civil litigation, as well as corporate employees whose companies are under investigation for white collar crimes. In addition, Mr. McDonald has argued numerous appeals before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court, the NJ Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. John P. McDonald has been named to the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers for 2017, marking the thirteenth consecutive year of selection for John.
Included in the list of The Best Lawyers in America, by U.S. News & World Report since 1995, Mr. McDonald also received the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award (2012) presented by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism, as well as the Legal Services of New Jersey’s Equal Justice Medal Award (2010).

Outside of his legal domain, Mr. McDonald was honored to be named Parishioner of the Year by St. Mary’s Church in Watchung, NJ for 2006.
Mr. McDonald received his law degree in 1979 from Seton Hall University School of Law. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey in 1979 and the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York in 1986; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1981 and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1996. Together with Michael J. Rogers, he founded McDonald & Rogers, LLC in 1980.
